Inspections and services can be scheduled by calling our office or by completing our online request form. Inspections are scheduled based upon your requested date/time and inspector availability.
Certified Building Inspectors may only tell you the condition of the home at the time of the inspection, including any needed repairs. We cannot fix the issues we find during the inspection. However, we do have a list of suggested vendors we will be happy to share with you. Call our office for more details.
If major issues are discovered in your inspection, we highly recommend that further evaluations be made by a licensed contractor for the area of concern PRIOR TO CLOSING!!
Monday – Friday: All Inspections and Services – 9:00am or 2:00pm. WDO only – 8:30am, 12:30pm, or 4:30pm
Saturday: All Inspections and Services – 9:00am or 2:00pm. Any requested times not listed above must be approved by the office and the individual inspector before scheduling.
Reports should be available within one business day (two business days for mold and radon inspections) on our website.
Reports will only be released if Certified Building Inspectors has received both payment for the inspection and your signed Standard Agreement for Inspection Report (Scope of Inspection) form.

Costs for each individual inspection will vary depending on the square footage of the property. Other services have a flat rate. Other factors may include: how long the inspector will be on site, how detailed the report will be, and the years of experience and/or the credentials of your home inspector. The general rule is: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!

Certified Building Inspectors accepts all sources of payment. You may pay the inspector on site with cash, check, money order, or credit card number, or simply call our office with a credit card number.
All of our inspectors are certified by the State of Florida, with each inspector having years of experience, licenses, memberships, and specialties.
Our reports vary depending on the type of service. However, all of our reports are comprehensive, detailed, clear, and easy to understand. Photos may be included as well. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible report in order to assist you in making a confident decision on your home investment.
No, you are not required to be there for the inspection. However, we highly recommend that you are so the inspector may go over their findings with you in person. It will benefit you and provide a valuable learning experience.

The time of the inspection will vary depending on both the size and the condition of the home. Certified Building Inspectors averages about an hour per thousand square feet of the home, but it could take longer.

No, a home inspection is a written, professional opinion of the condition of the home at the time of the inspection. An inspection is also limited to what is visibly accessible at the time of the inspection. Items such as: rugs, pictures, furnishings, wall coverings, and vegetation can hide, block or prevent access to parts of the home. Certified Building Inspectors cannot predict or forecast the life expectancy of a working system.
